2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumFlorida leads all states with (record) 6.4 million early votes - Miami Herald
Democrats had cast nearly 2.6 million early ballots, the state reported, and Republicans had cast nearly 2.5 million for a slim Democratic advantage of about 88,000 ballots roughly half of the Democrats pre-election advantage in Florida in 2012.
<snip>
Miami-Dades combined early and mail balloting is 80 percent above 2012, and state figures show that 120,000 more Democrats than Republicans have voted there.
Miami-Dades neighbor to the north, Broward, is also voting in bigger numbers than usual. The two South Florida counties typically lag behind the rest of the state in voter turnout, but as of Monday Miami-Dades turnout was 55 percent and Browards was 52 percent compared to a statewide turnout of 49.9 percent

The number of Hispanics voting early stood at 976,000 Monday, nearly twice as high as 2012, Smith posted on his blog, electionsmith.com. The number of African-Americans voting before Election Day has grown from about 764,000 in 2012 to more than 834,000 this year. - Miami Herald
Heavy turnout has favored Democrats, Hispanic turnout favors Democrats, and AA turnout favors Democrats, so let's hope tomorrow continues with the same message.
Florida will make or break Donald's White House dreams, as he must win Florida. Democrats win Florida and it's game over for him.

(29,025 posts)It should be getting more and more blue because of this. It seems like the entire East Coast is turning more blue because of liberals moving in.

(1,961 posts)So the fact that there is a new young hispanic electorate and less concentration of a certain generation of Cuban voters is an improvement as well... I also like Ana Navarro's influence of yesterday. I think that might roll some people to Clinton.

(15,299 posts)I think the big question is whether or not the Florida GOP is cannibalizing its election day voters in early voting. I know the Clinton campaign targeted low propensity voters for early vote GOTV so those votes would be additive to election day Dem voting.
