I blame Comey

1) He said Hillary was. .'careless'. First off, editorializing was not his place. Secondly, I just do not believe HRC was careless about anything ever.

2) the letter to Chaffetz et al 11days before the election, saying emails from the Weiner case might be pertinent. And Rudy, with his FBI connections saying similar to ' we have a few things up our sleeve'.
That changed the whole momentum, and probably affected those who made up their minds in the
last days and week.NINE days of voting passed between his initial letter and his ultimate clearance.

I saw stats on Daily Kos showing same.

The WORST appointment Obama ever made- James Comey.

3. It wasn't Comey, the FBI, Putin, the Democrats, the Republicans, or third-party candidates.

The blame lies squarely with the media, namely Jeff Zucker and CNN, for literally promoting a JOKE candidate to the point where it created a political Frankenstein, a messianic cult.

Zucker belongs in prison, not working in the media.

That is why I am furious at the postmortems of the media when they know damned well what went down.

As I said, Zucker needs to be in prison.

6. He was a big factor.

I think there's a combination of factors - a little bit here, a little bit there. The margins were razor thin. Voter suppression, the relentless badgering about emails (including by Dems during the primary), apathy, the vanishing of the 2008 Obama voters, I could go on but you get the drift.

Thinking there is one issue is ludicrous. This was not a blowout by Republicans. They were able to target areas and game the system (the gerrymandering helped). The dismantling of the Voting Rights Act was huge.

Comey was probably a tipping point.

9. Everyone knows there are multiple factors that negatively affected Clinton's chances. But.....

But, I definitely believe that if all the other elements had stayed in play, and the Comey element had not been in play, that would have changed the outcome, and Clinton would have won. Remember, just a minimal movement in voting percentages in a very few states made the difference. The Comey effect easily moved things enough to do exactly that.

It might be interesting to discuss if the exclusion of any of the other negative elements would have changed the outcome if the others remained unchanged.

11. Absolutely. Hillary had momentum and was several points ahead in most polls until Comey's letter.

Her numbers started going downhill and by the time he published his second letter, it was too late to turn it around. Well never know for sure, but it's my belief that Hillary would have won this election if not for Comey's interference. He should resign.
