The information coming out today about loyalties, family grudges, the intrigue and infighting, can bring us to only one conclusion: Trump is a mobster who is going to run the White House like a 21st century Corleone Family.

Apparently, Christie is the first one waking up with a horse's head in his bed.

This is why Rep. Keith Ellison must become the chairman of the DNC. And why the democrats in Washington must be made to understand that every day they are fighting for the survival of the republic.

4. I don't like the idea of Keith Ellison as DNC chair because of the job it entails

We had DWS as DNC chair for 8 years, a sitting member of Congress, and look at where we are now--in the wilderness. Keith Ellison is a sitting member of Congress vying for a job that requires double time work and I don't think he can do both jobs well without exhausting himself to an early grave.

We need someone who's free to put in the hours required to build the party who does have the progressive cred, and that person is Nina Turner. She's my pick for DNC chair.

5. Nina Turner would not be a good choice.

Her refusal to back Hillary after the primaries was very polarizing. She has no friends or connections in Washington.

Has the chairman of the DNC always been someone without another job?

I didn't realize Nina Turner had no Washington connections.

But we have to find someone who can implement a 50-state strategy without the baggage of being an industry lobbyist nor be a part-time chair. I can't come up with names off the top of my head.
