Would like to start a group on DU on voter ID laws and how we can help get people registered

For 2018 would focus on any state where there is a chance of a Dem Senate or House pickup.

For 2020 Focus on NC and WI.

Would involve working with group to raise money to pay for efforts and spend time in state helping people with nuts and bolts of getting the correct ID.

Only I'd call it Fighting Voter Suppression.

Personally, I'd fight voter suppression with some of our own, targeting RW evangelicals. They whine so much about being persecuted that if they actually are targeted for disenfranchisement, their complaints can easily be dismissed because they cry wolf too many times.
