Why is Tweety being such a jerk to Crist?

Seems like his badgering is trying to hold Crist to higher democratic standards than the bulk of elected democrats. I know Crist isn't perfect and probably has a lot of warts but can't we just say "welcome" for some period of time before we get out the knives.

Tweety asked if Crist was willing to sign up for supporting teachers. Great question but when Crist said yes, Tweety blew him off like "well, that was easy" and then kept ratcheting it up. If it was so easy, why did he bother asking the question.

I don't normally get pissed about chit like this but sheesh...let the guy get his coat off before you start beating him about the face and neck about ideology.

2. So the Dems are supposed to embrace someone from the lying party?

The Republicans have proven themselves to be the lying party (see: Mitt Romney). Just because someone signs papers to become a Democrat they are supposed to be welcomed with open arms and no suspicion?

Well, yes, he should be held to higher standards for a time until he proves he really believes, supports, and votes in favor of the principles of the Democratic party.

Remember, the opening question to Crist was about the former Governor's claim of being a "Reagan Republican." Crist waffled it; Matthews went into standard Dem positions and wanted to know if he now backed them. Matthews finally asked Crist; do you embrace the positions of the Democratic Party as your own. The Governor responded with "yes, I do."

Matthews did a good job.

I understood it to mean how easily Crist flipped on statements he had made earlier about teachers.

But he did not mention having any conversations with Debbie Wasserman Schultz or Alan Grayson.

he stood on stages with her chanting 'Drill here, drill now!'. Today, Crist and his advocates say he is a 'pro Obama environmentalist'. Matthews is right, that was easy!
Palin. More qualified than Obama. Four years ago, he said that. That's what I know about him. I have not read his explaination of that, nor his detailed report on how he eventually came to see Obama as a better choice than Palin, his original choice and endorsement so I do not believe a word he says.
Do you agree with him that Palin is highly qualified for the Presidency?
