My theory about why Trump ignores the Presidential Daily Briefing (PDB)...

1. Each briefing contains the latest information about the hacked election;
2. Trump suffers from malignant narcissistic personality disorder;
3. Each briefing informs Trump that he did not win the election based on his on talent;
4. Each briefing is a narcissistic injury which causes shame;
5. Narcissists ignore information that contradict their imagined reality;
5. He ignores the PDB, because it pierces a hole in his world view, and makes him look like a loser.
6. He will never participate in the PDB as long as it contains information about the Russians hacking the election.

That's my theory, and I'm sticking to it. Thoughts?

Can you give me a link to your thread... I'd love to read the responses.

He is so very dangerous in my mind, because narcissists leave destruction in their wake...

He behaves like my mother... If confronted, she would storm out of the room to avoid confronting facts that contradicted her narcissistic and fictional reality.

When Hillary Clinton called Trump "Putin's puppet" during a debate, and he replied repeatedly, "No, you're the puppet"... I thought... Wow, what a display of classic childish narcissistic behavior.

Not as detailed, of course, but I was thinking he didn't want to hear stuff that conflicted with his view of Putin and his victory.

Maybe he doesn't remember anything from the briefing and doesn't want to get found out.

Dementia, incompetence, failure to comprehend are all reasons he may want to avoid the briefings to avoid be discovered, and give cover to future failures.

They spend time in denial and hunker down and blame everyone else for their failures or misunderstandings... Eventually, they realize after all their bridges have been burnt, relationships destroyed, and they will seek sympathy and forgiveness.

I suspect that Trump knows his shortcomings, but he will use every ounce of his mental energy to conceal them from others and protect his image/brand.

His ego meant it, every single word. What are insulting PDB to him? He already KNOWS how to do everything.

God help us.

If something happens, another 9/11 style attack, then he will get roasted for it in the long run. See, W's incompetence didn't come out until well over a year after 9/11. Trump has bragged about his ignorance beforehand. This is a big difference.

Anyway my view of the Trump presidency is starting to take shape and yeah he's going to do a lot of shit we hate, but he will forever be on defense putting out ethical fires and dealing with controversies. It will be a malaise the likes of which he never thought possible. And it will wear on him bigly. Obama has aged 12 years in 8 but he came into the job a healthy, athletic 47 year old. Trump is a 70 year old tub of goo. The job will probably kill him.
