The Comey letter. I really think it is important for all to read it.

Republicans, Democrats, Independents.

For those who might have just read about it on the news or seen the fallout, here is a copy of it. There is nothing there. It's as empty as could be. It was inaccurately reported on by news agency after news agency. The Director of the FBI went rogue.

something relevant so we're gonna look at them. So many DUers considered it some sort of 'bombshell'
and spread that meme in their posts.

Also a few days later (before the election) he announced that there was nothing there.

time. Innuendo, the mass media and the Trump campaign did the rest. If the GOP hadn't invested an enormous 3 year effort to reduce Hillary Clinton's favorability, it wouldn't have mattered that much, but......

than the primary, at least among the general public. Take a look at the horrid timeline for 2016 in this article:
http://www.cnn.com/2016/10/28/politics/hillary-clinton-email-timeline/#
The drop in Hillary Clinton's favorability tracks the stories:

For example, Hillary took a big hit when when Comey first commented that no charges would be forthcoming in July 5. The primary only mattered to very partisan Democrats, a relatively small number who were paying attention. Here's the evidence for that. Compare her declining favorability with her favorability among Democrats.

There isn't much change in her favorability among Democrats (compare September 2015 with July 2016), but a large decline in her favorability among the general public which basically tracks the negative new coverage of the email server. The number of hyper partisans who cared about the primary may seem a large number if you look at Kos and DU, but are actually very small relative to the Democratic Party in general and especially the voting populace.

up Bernie's play book for smearing her by association with anything they wanted to, but the FBI did the heavy lifting at the end. It was really a rigged system against her, but neither Bernie or Trump talk about a rigged system anymore.
