Donald Trump wants a record crowd for his inauguration

In a tweet a week ago, Donald Trump urged his fans to head to Washington to see him get sworn in on Jan. 20.

"Let's set the all time record!" tweeted the president-elect.

But planners who are gearing up for the big day predict that Trump will fall way short of his goal: They're estimating a crowd of roughly 800,000, fewer than half the 1.8 million people who attended President Barack Obama's first inauguration in 2009.

"It's not even close to a record," said Jim Bendat, a California expert on presidential inauguration history, who wrote a book on the subject.

The media will play them as Donald Trump supporters and brag about Trump's big crowd.

He wants a big crowd. They don't all have to be supporters.

The protesters who he admonishes his supporters to "don't hurt 'em!" or "get 'em outta here!" have just as big a role to play in the "Donald Trump Experience" as his supporters do.

The whole city could burn on January 20th and Trump would tweet, "It was YUGE!"

I hope even the protestors stay away so as to not be counted among the deplorable supporters. I refuse to watch any of the Inauguration coverage, but I hope reports I watch later show camera shots that clearly reveal a crowd that is minuscule in relation to past inaugurations.

Gives him more attention that he craves. Ignoring him, at times like this, is the best response, I think. I don't like the idea of a protest concert, either. It feels like it could be a commercial endeavor.

And notice how he lyingly claims a huge landslide and mandate, but then nevertheless his planners and proxies have to try to deal with actual reality.

Can't predict the actual turnout here, or how the pro repug corporate media will spin it, but it looks like his flunkies know he's less than half as popular as Prez O, in terms of committed supporters who are willing to turn out to support him in person for his big day.

That doesn't bode well for the repuglinazis' attempt to prove they have their hitler's magical 10%.

So dRumpf "won" by negative 3 million votes, Obama won by 9.5 million and 5.9 million votes. And we've seen for 8 years how much respect and cooperation they gave our prez, with those super majority vote numbers. It won't be too hard to pay the repugs and their minority prez back with the same currency the repugs minted themselves. Disrespect, non-cooperation, complete dismissal, 100% opposition.

They did it to our Prez, who earned respect and cooperation via crushing election victories, which was never given. We can do it to their guy, who earned nothing, was swamped by voters in the election.

And he never earned anything in his entire miserable 70 year existence.

I prefer to not give him the time of day or an ounce of interest. If I do remember the date, I'll make sure my set is turned to a different channel, and that's all the energy and attention I plan to expend.
