No Current Legislation, Deals, Negotiations Or Hypothetical Discussions About SS Cuts

And yet somehow, according to a few popular, vocal posters, Obama has already caved.

Fascinating.

I believe this is the very point where some people have crossed a threshhold into self parody.

with regard to many of them.

Stick around a while, and you'll see the pattern: Obama is predicted to 'cave'. But then he doesn't - which quickly results in comments that (a) he WAS going to cave, but changed his mind at the last minute because some DUers "held his feet to the fire", or (b) okay, okay, he DIDN'T cave on THAT issue, but he's about to cave on (insert new alleged outrage here).

And they never seem to realize how transparent they are.

Yeah, he got this and that and that and this and that and that and this and that and that; but he didn't keep his promise to {insert random Campaign promise, here}, so he caved.

Mine is: "He hasn't accomplished a goddamned thing in four years."

Yep. He's just been lounging around the Oval Office doing nothing. And don't confront them with the dreaded 'list', because none of those things really mattered anyway.

In second place: "Yeah, things turned out okay - but only because the GOP is in such disarray, and he got lucky."

Third place winner: "So he didn't cave on THAT after all - but he'll cave on something else tomorrow."
