Suppose on Jan. 3 the House Repubs pass a bill returning ALL tax rates to the old levels,

And then the House sends it to the Senate. When the Senate fails to pass the bill, the House will blame the Senate.

Is the general public informed enough to not blame both sides equally?

There will be a new Congress soon. Dems should hang tough now-- the "deal" will only provide cover for republicans who want to unravel the return to sound revenue policy. If the goal is to provide relief for working poor families, why tie that issue to making tax breaks for the wealthy permanent?

Here he has tried to work a deal but instead the R's are spending Chinese loan money to give a tax break to the wealthy. Their bill doesn't pay for itself, puts another trillion to the national debt and deficit and again shows the Republican Party can't govern. Please call your congressman and tell them to grow the fuck up.
