Scarborough...for once I hope he's got his finger on the pulse...

http://politicalwire.com/archives/2012/04/04/quote_of_the_day.html

Quote of the Day

"Nobody thinks Romney's going to win. Let's just be honest. Can we just say this for everybody at home? Let me just say this for everybody at home. The Republican establishment -- I've yet to meet a single person in the Republican establishment that thinks Mitt Romney is going to win the general election this year. They won't say it on TV because they've got to go on TV and they don't want people writing them nasty emails. I obviously don't care. But I have yet to meet anybody in the Republican establishment that worked for George W. Bush, that works in the Republican congress, that worked for Ronald Reagan that thinks Mitt Romney is going to win the general election."

-- Joe Scarborough, on Morning Joe.

Ok, you've made a lot of noise. Now what?

There won't be a trial. Noise won't bring her back from the dead. In fact, your noise could be considered defamatory and end up getting you sued.

Perhaps what happened here is similar to the kind of "investigation" that went on in Sanford, FL.

Did this happen in Scarborough's hometown?

Basically there's no mechanism to 'appeal' the autopsy results. And it's not like W's DOJ would investigate a Republican.

And he was angry. He was visibly upset. The 3 political pundits that he had invited to be there this morning on the set with him, all told him that it was over. They said that it was inevitable, they added that Romney had a much better organization, they reminded Scarbrow that Romney had outspent Santorum 5 to 1 in Wisconsin. And then they said that even though Santorum will hang on until the end, in the end, it will be Romney that will be the nominee.

So, Scarbow started talking like he was a WWII General. He said that if he were Romney he would "carpet bomb" Santorum in Pennsylvania. He said, "I'd call out the B-52s and I would drop everything I had on Santorum in Pennsylvania."
Which is pretty much what Romney did to Santorum in Illinois last month and this last week in Wisconsin.
So, one thing is for sure, Romney doesn't need Scarbrow's advice.

As Howard Cosell said once, "He has a grasp on the obvious."
He is the dumbest, most ill-informed, ignorant person on MSNBC. He has nothing to add to the conversation.
And the little act that he and Mika put on each morning, where she tries to say something that sounds halfway liberal for 15 seconds before Scarbrow interrupts her and then he goes off on a 5 minute rightwing, redmeat rant is ludicrous, pedestrian, and ancient.

I only tune in to watch him on days like this where he looks at the camera with his "I don't have a fucking clue what is going on" look. Just to see his little beady eyes, framed with his little nerdy horn-rimmed glasses, grow smaller and smaller on his weasely face. He is the worst political pundit on that channel and he has no morals whatsoever.

Everybody on MJ today seemed pissed off. Or off balance. Tina Brown was having trouble getting a full sentence off without stuttering over her words (my guess: hangover or lack of preparation or both).

Joe is ill informed because he WILL NOT be INFORMED. He simply refuses to accept the obvious and inevitable. Just doesn't and won't.

He was incredibly irritating (even more so than normal) in his unhinged attacks on President Obama's (of course he NEVER refers to him as President) recent speech rightfully attacking RYan's budge plan. His constant interruptions and talking over Mika as she tries to get through the "script" are beyond annoying.

I guess she has decided she needs the job because I swear I would have decked him on camera long ago if I were him.

Former Vice President Mondale passed all the minimal requirements of the mainstream Democratic constituency ideological litmus test. The party establishment all wanted everybody to rally around him. The major constituency groups pretty much all endorsed him. But nobody was the least bit enthusiastic and what's more - nobody thought he was going to win. Unlike Goldwater for the Republicans or McGovern for the Democrats - neither Mondale then or Romney now has a band of devoted true believers who were prepared to at least fight the good fight and march into hell for the heavenly cause. There was and is no such thing as a Mondale Democrat anymore than there is any such thing as a Romney Republican.
