Battling a couple of idiots over at Slickdeals spreading misinformation...

Below you will find a sample of misinformation and propaganda by right-wing trolls in just one thread about merchants being allowed to have surcharges for Visa and MasterCard credit card transactions beginning on the 27th of January. Here's a link to the thread: http://slickdeals.net/f/5822408-Credit-Card-Additional-Surcharge-Fees-to-begin-Jan-27th?

Just passing on the cost to the consumers. When will people realize that the liberal ideas of taxing companies doesn't work. Companies don't pay tax, all costs are passed on to the consumer.

dougpaw57

Just more CA taxes passed on by a worthless CA governement.

dougpaw57

No $hit, I'm almost embarrassed to admit I live here

got a raise, and it turns out i get less take home pay after taxes than i did last year without the raise.

Just do a Flat tax and take 40% of my income and and be done with it!!! I don't care anymore just please don't charge me another fee (every single day I can count fee after fee after fee, interest and more interest being paid to someone I don't even know what they really do with the money, they always want more and they will take it if they can).... don't ask me for more money, and stop screwing with the system... Let us live our lives... Makes me want to move... is Canada still doing well?

If you follow Republican idea, government should stay out of private sector. You have a choice to use credit card or not. And the retail stores have a choice to accept credit card or not. So why need government to decide how much money credit card company made when the customers and retailers already have the power to decide what to use?

If you like more government regulations, then you may want to join Democrat.

I'm right there with yah brotha. Right now its better to be poor and live off of the government entitlements rather than go out and work and get the bejezzus taxed out of yah. i picked up an extra shift at work and after taxes it completely deflated any incentive I had to pick up more hours.

By the way, can someone proof read the wiki?

cowlag

same here I've had to work more jobs and more hours than I ever have before in my entire life.... and just to survive... nothing even special... sad.. but true

cowlag

The government is trying to control everything, pretty soon I won't even be able to use the restroom without permission or paying an additional fee. And depending on the amount I deposit I may have to pay more!...

cowlag

someone please get rid of Barack Hussein Obama
or I guess I just need to do what he wants and quit my job, live on welfare and food stamps...
( I would never do that but it seems like that's what he wants us to do... Sad but true)

You don't have much going for you because the state is overrun with uneducated suckers. You just voted to raise your own taxes! You voted in a governor who, in his previous post, abdicated his duty to the state because he wanted to...
Now, if you still think you're getting a good deal here regarding CC surcharge, read the actual CA code and then tell us if you're still convinced.

It's best to let them stew in their juices.

Each time FOX, Drudge, Limbaugh or whomever misleads them and gets their dander up... the more foolish they look when they spout that stuff to others. Then, they have to reinforce their cognitive dissonance or remain in denial that what they were fed and what they were espousing wasn't actually a pack of lies when the truth finally comes out.

The more they make a mockery of themselves in public, the better.
