Question? Does anyone know what happened to MSNBC's Steve Schmidt?

Steve Schmidt was the GOP head guy for the McCain/Palin ticket in 2008. He was featured prominently in the HBO movie "Game Change."

He was on MSNBC quite frequently as an analyst, including playing an important role in their election night coverage.

But I haven't seen him on air in months. Is he still with the network? Did he take leave?

I'm surprises I haven't heard anyone mention maternity time on air. Even with this, he has been gone a long time.

and he was listed as a Republican strategist on MSNBC. He probably found himself having to defend so many wackos that it became an embarassment, so better to leave that behind.

I generally only get to watch during primetime. He has been missing there. I guess he has been regulated to daytime duty.

Wow... you guys are better than doing a google search!

Well, since I have MSNBC on all day and night long, I'm always ready to answer anything MSNBC-related.

“Look, this CPAC convention is increasingly the Star Wars bar scene of the conservative movement. I mean all that’s missing at that convention is a couple of Wookiees,” Schmidt said on MSNBC on Tuesday...
