Ed has just told those that said "they wished him into the cornfield"...

.. he's been pushed out, etc...

You're full of shit (translated)

Listen to him, this does sound like his idea and no one elses. So much for the "whores" (his word) at Politico.

Saturday/Sunday... the liberal response to the weekend news shows.

Sic'em Big Eddie!

I love Big Ed. What is going on. I didn't listen to the radio today & I'll be at soccer tonight during his show.

I heard somewhere although I have no direct quotes or even know its true, but I heard he was going to cut his hours down because his wife had terminal cancer. I hope it isn't true-how sad.

Has anyone heard anything like this?

in summer 2012. She finished her surgeries and chemo, and Ed had posted on his MSNBC website, she was cancer free in Jan 2013. Working 14 hour days, with your beloved being seriously ill and getting chemo for months at time must have been a bitch.

Unless they caught it VERY early, and they almost never do, it's one of those cancers that has a really high mortality rate. Most (68%) ovarian cancer is discovered after it has already metastasized. Of those patients, only 30% are still alive 5 years later and even then they may not be cancer free.

And I'm very happy to see Chris get more time and experience as a lead talking-head.

And something unrevolting to watch (besides jail porn) on weekends is a big plus.

the lives, such as they are, of rapists, murderers, and drug dealers. I won't waste time on that crap for the same reason I don't watch republican national conventions.

I could not care less what our society's losers are doing.

Did you ever think about how demanding it must be to keep all those channels full of entertainment product, any kind of crap really, 24x7? And anything really good is going to cost more.

Why didn't they repeat them during the day? Some weekends MSNBC would run news all day, but they never repeat Chris Hayes' UP or Melissa Harris Perry's shows later.

Many weekends I don't want to get up at 8AM so I'd miss UP. Often I'd like to re-watch the good segments on those shows, but unless I pre-planned and recorded them, I had no chance until and unless MSNBC decided to put video on the website.

MSNBC re-runs Alex Witt's weekend shows - those run before UP and adter MHP's shows - why not re-run the much better and more informative shows?
