Romney didn’t flinch: “Do you have a better one, Laura?”

Ingraham pointed out that the President and Treasury Secretary have said the economy is getting better, with more job being created on a monthly basis. Romney himself, she added, has said there are signs improvement on the horizon. So, “how do you answer the President’s argument that the economy is getting better in a general election campaign if you yourself are saying that it’s getting better?”
“Well, of course it’s getting better,” said Romney. “The economy always gets better after a recession.” The question, he continued, is whether it’s getting better because of something the President has done, or whether he’s delaying that inevitable recovery. You can guess which side of the fence Romney falls on.

“Isn’t that a hard argument to make?” asked Ingraham.

Ingraham was "hinting" at support for Obama? Very hard for me to believe BlueCaliDem Jan 2012 #7
Yes. It was a weak attempt at presenting an opposing argument to Rmoney. geckosfeet Jan 2012 #8

So does the Donald. But once you've made a fool of yourself in public, it's hard to backtrack. MjolnirTime Jan 2012 #6

He shut that witch up!

And he's right. There isn't a better argument to make. It's the only one the GOP can make considering how fast the economy is coming back.

Rmoney suggested that president Obama is purposely delaying the recovery. When in fact, it is republicans in congress and the senate, and dare I suggest the supreme court who are holding up legislation and cabinet appointments.

I would also suggest that to some extent businesses are holding up the recovery by sitting on hoards of cash while reaping better profits and margins.

'That witch' actually suggested republicans are responsible for holding up the recovery - and yes - it appears he shut that argument down in the bud.

but I didn't hear the broadcast so I went solely by the excerpt I'd read.

But it could be possible that she had.

Not really an endorsement of Obama. Seemed like she was just trying to get Rmoney to clearly stake out his position.

Note: I just read the write up as well. I don't 'watch'.

and I don't listen to her here in L.A. where she's stationed. I didn't mean to imply you watched a Fox Snooze broadcast. If it came across that way, my apologies.

to keep going. I have to laugh at how defensive he's getting lately though. Reminds me of this guy:
