the decision is up to The Lady herself. Lady? Yes, indeed, with a capital "L". If the GOP Benghazi witch hunt does not convince you, nothing will.
Looking forward, whenever HRC has been asked to step forward in the name of Public Service , Hillary has delivered. Nobody, but nobody, knows the price of Public Service more personally. After all these years I trust this woman to search her heart and choose for herself. If she runs in 2016 it will be for the United States: She has nothing to prove.
On another level, 16 years of a Democratic Presidency has profound implications for SCOTUS.
2016? On so many levels Hillary is a shoo-in. First woman President (double tick), appeal to older voters (tick, tick), fear of the future (double tick) - how good were the '90's for you (oh Yeah). Foreign Policy (Benghazi - ha, ha, ha ). Young voters, saleable.
Demographics? OK, lets try to spin a Clinton as anti-AA, anti-Gay, anti-Hispanic, more Poverty? Good luck!
DLC, Third Way? If you think the LIV remember '90's hatreds and failures well, OK. The 1990s DLC almost looks 'left' today. Almost. Sad, but whatever - If some 'Democrats' are thinking about sitting out 2016, shame on you.
Bipartisan? A Velvet Glove? - Oh Man, she will take it to the TeaBaggers.
A woman President. If not now, when?
HRC - you have earned it. It's your choice. As Always.

(11,464 posts)in fact, if Jeb is not the republican nominee, it might be a 538 to 0 romp.
Though 270 will be just as nice.
To continue the angle of Barack Obama forever.

(16,916 posts)1. Her resume
2. Her high approval numbers
3. Call me sexist, but its past time for a female President. Warren would be better, but Clinton will piss off Republicans, and that's always good for a laugh. Also, consider the current foot in mouth syndrome exhibited by Republicans when they spout off on women's rights. Multiply that by a factor of 10 and you can imagine 2016. If our team is smart, we'd run women in every House congressional district, and for every open Senate seat. Make it a national referendum on Women's
Rights. Play this right, and we'll take both houses in a landslide.

(30,253 posts)I have always thought that she would be a great president. She has the intellectual prowess, the political knowhow and is extremely hard working. On a personal level, she's caring and has a terrific sense of humor. She also knows how to deal with Republicans. I predict that she will come out of this fake Benghazi scandal mostly unscathed.
But, whether the Democrats win the WH in 2016 or not, will large depend on the state of the economy at that point. We need to worry about the midterm elections next year. The Tea Party bunch in Congress need to be defeated.

(11,045 posts)the Clinton years will shine ever brighter. As you say, it's her decision. Whatever else, it will not be for lack of courage.

(24,096 posts)There isn't enough years left to make even the 'Hillary Hate' compared to what Obama has gone through here by 'democrats'. *cough *cough. Not that this should be a contest, but shaming people that do not support Hillary and think it would be an awful mistake for her to be leader, just isn't going to work.

(3,978 posts)HRC as President and Bill Clinton as the "First Lady" will be more than enough for the right to hate that couple haha.

(3,978 posts)I have changed my views on Hillary after watching her do work around the world the last few years. She has been a positive impact on foreign relations and I only think it would be bolstered if she chose to run for the Presidency. I would like to also see what her version would be at home as well.

(838 posts)about Benghazi shows that they know she'll be a very strong candidate, they fear her most and they'll do anything to try to shut down her campaign before it even starts.
Go Hillary!
