CBS News: Republicans Lied About White House Benghazi E-mails

Here's something you don't see every day -- someone in our corporate media actually calling out Republicans for feeding them lies. Good for CBS and Major Garrett.

Via TPM: Wow, This is Pretty Epic:

Generally, once partisan, tendentious sources leak information that turns out to be wrong, nothing’s ever done about it. That’s for many reasons, some good or somewhat understandable, mostly bad. But on CBS Evening News tonight, Major Garrett did something I don’t feel like I’ve seen in a really long time or maybe ever on a network news cast. He basically said straight out: Republicans told us these were the quotes, that wasn’t true. Quick transcript:

I suspect there is some rivalry with ABC network whose "news" people have thoroughly embarrassed themselves on these recent "white house scandals".

They were wrong and they got muck in the face. Maybe finally the press will wake up and start protecting AM truth in reporting \. There is no wonder that DOJ did what it did over reporter phone logs. Press has become so unreliable, that who knows where the traitors really lerk.

If the fraudulent documents were knowingly submitted as written testimony to Congress, it's someone's ass.

Double gold-star multiplier if it's a certain Rep. Issa.

Pelley needs to get credit. He's in charge of content.

Pelley recently won a Peabody award and criticized the media for their overall bad reporting about everything.

Thank God one news show points out how republicans lie.

They should name the persons or republican group that changed the quotes.

The damage gets done with the lie press releases and the media repetes the lies for years. This is done at the local state levels thousands of times.

Not usually quote cheats though or email changers, they will make up stats or create push polls then use those scammed for stats to get laws passed.
