after *I* challenged him to live on food stamps for a week.

Then he comes out with a boilerplate bullshit about Farm Bill which had nothing to do with food stamps. He has no fucking clue as to what I was referring to.

Go ahead, and read it.

Dear David:

Thank you for contacting me regarding the 2013 Farm Bill. I appreciate hearing from you on this important topic.

Agriculture is at the heart of Colorado's history and cultural fabric. It also continues to be one of our most significant economic drivers. At a time when many sectors are struggling to find growth, Colorado farmers and ranchers are more productive than ever, finding innovative ways to harness growing consumer demand for agricultural products both at home and in overseas markets.

As you may know, Congress is supposed to reauthorize the Farm Bill every five years. This important legislation contains the laws and programs that govern America's food and rural development policy. Advancing a five-year Farm Bill should be one of Washington's top priorities because it will inject certainty throughout the food supply chain-from banking, to transportation, to retail-and help farmers and ranchers still reeling from last year's drought.

The Senate Agriculture Committee passed a Farm Bill on May 14, 2013, with a bipartisan 15 to 5 vote. Among other provisions, this legislation includes a revamped conservation title; a strengthened crop insurance program; disaster assistance for livestock producers; new support for agricultural research funding; tools to support organic agricultural production; and increased environmental and fiscal accountability in the farm safety net.

As a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, I am committed to continuing to work with my colleagues in the Senate and House to bring a full, five-year, reform-oriented Farm Bill to the President's desk. As the Farm Bill moves through the legislative process, I will keep your perspective in mind.

I value the input of fellow Coloradans in considering the wide variety of important issues and legislative initiatives that come before the Senate. I hope you will continue to inform me of your thoughts and concerns.

For more information about my priorities as a U.S. Senator, I invite you to visit my website at http://bennet.senate.gov/. Again, thank you for contacting me.
