Dog whistles are so 2008. You'll need an official Romney Dog Air Horn if you really want to show your Atwater ass off this year.

(11,344 posts)The Tories used "Labour isn't working" as their slogan when Thatcher won in 1979. You know what happened next.
Another Romney-Rove ripoff. Getting ready to accelerate the class war. They should be careful what they wish for.

(135,425 posts)Not that he needs one--he lives off the interest of ill-gotten gains.
But he's got one helluva nerve talking about "working." Even as MA gov, he left the running of the state to his idiot LTGOV, who was both stupid and clueless and lacking in tact or common sense.
Example: Dozens of families are made homeless by terrible flooding. The LT GOV pulls up in an entourage of vehicles, gets out of the back of her chauffeur driven car, is handed a hard hat, strides purposefully over to a vantage point overlooking a river that has broken its banks, some assclown lackey takes a few pictures of her pointing and nodding, and then.....SHE LEAVES.
Really. There was a crowd of people who had been driven from their homes waiting for a word of encouragement, of hope, of "We'll look into getting disaster funds for you folks," something, ANYTHING. She didn't say a fucking thing, just got in her car and left. The pictures? They were used in a pamphlet for her failed gubernatorial bid.

(9,117 posts)President Obama's economic policies aren't helping as much as they could because congressional and senatorial Republican sandbagging and sabotage is designed to prolong economic misery for the GOP's political ends. This is a concept we need to keep repeating until the polls close on Election Night.
Another concept we ought to be selling: Where would the American economy be today if President Obama had the full co-operation and assistance of the House and Senate instead of over three years of vicious, partisan Republican/Tea-b@gger obstructionism?
How many people would still have jobs? How many people would still have their savings? How many people would still have their homes?
I would go on and ask people to think where the economy would be if such Republican "suggestions" like letting the auto industry tank and Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac were shut down, but that requires more thought than most right-wingers and most easily-swayed voters are capable of putting out.
