Enough with the hand wringing and warnings about losing the house senate white house supreme court. This is not what Obama wants or needs. Obama's speech in 2009 was as much about his philosophy as a president as it was about his specific reforms. What our dear friend Obama needs is a ferocious left joined by as many libertarians as are willing that stop at nothing to expose and reform our Government. Thank You Edward Snowden et al.

"President Barack Obama's address to Congress Wednesday night was not just a litany of policy prescriptions. It was a call to action.
His approach took a page out of President Franklin Roosevelt's playbook.
FDR once met with a group of activists who sought his support for bold legislation. He listened to their arguments for some time and then said, "You've convinced me. Now go out and make me do it."
Even in the middle of the Depression, Roosevelt understood that the more effectively people created a sense of urgency and crisis, the easier it would be for him to push for progressive legislation"

People do need to concentrate on 2014. We cannot, at any cost, let the repubs expand their power. And such increase will just send Obama and the party leadership the message that he 'needs' to go further rightward.
