New York Public Advocate Bill de Blasio might just be elected the new mayor of America’s largest city.

And that has the current mayor of New York freaking out.

In our Democratic primary for mayor, machine politics vs. reformer within our Democratic party with some real twists...our mayor for many years retiring so new faces emerging...but the old politics are still in place...if you recall that Supreme Court case on affirmative action a few years ago, Ricci v. deStefano, the white firefighters case? John deStefano is the mayor til the election in November...and there is no viable Republican party in New Haven...so whoever wins the Dem primary is the next mayor...
