I volunteered for Mondale in 1984 and Hart in 1988 (before moving to Dukakis after Hart was forced out).

I worked on John Russo's and Peter Shapiro's campaigns for Governor in 1985.

I phone banked for Congressman Bill Hughes.

I was a Democratic Committeeman in Cumberland County from 2002 until earlier this year when I resigned over homophobia in the upper ranks of our local committee.

My political and Democratic credentials are long. Cory Booker is not a good Democrat, but he is the Democrat going up against a much worse Republican. Since we couldn't get a progressive nominated in the primary, I will vote for our nominee. But I don't have to like it, or campaign for him.

Personally I think this is a big load of nothing. Booker's single. As far as I know Big Cory hasn't pulled a Weiner and tweeted pictures of Little Cory to the stripper or to anyone else. The people who'd be upset about a black guy flirting with a white woman are going to be voting for Lonegan anyway.
