Weve been here before: Hillary Rodham Clinton lands in a major U.S. city for a speech. Her team bars the media from the speech. Local media documents the firm stiff-arm from Clinton Inc.
Happened in Miami. Happened in Atlanta. Now the San Francisco Chronicles Carla Marinucci reports its about to happen in San Francisco.
The former secretary of state will be speaking at a mammoth Saturday event for the National Association of Realtors at San Franciscos Moscone Center. And later that day, shes scheduled to appear at a Millennial Network event to benefit the Clinton foundation, at San Franciscos Regency Ballroom, Marinucci reports.
Both events will be closed to the press.
Clinton is known as a woman who adores challenges: She took on the countrys health-care crisis. She took on the Senate. She took on Barack Obama. She took on the frayed foreign relations of the United States.

If and when she becomes an announced candidate for public office then it would be appropriate.
The press doesn't have an absolute right to every conversation that a private citizen is engaged in.

(30,253 posts)These are the ones where she is paid to give a speech. Every public event has been videotaped and a transcript of the speech has been available.
Why should a private event be made public? There's nothing to see here.
