Is anyone watching the CBS miniseries "Hostages"?

The president's surgeon has been forced to participate in a plot to assassinate the president by poisoning him during upcoming surgery. Her family is being held hostage in their home by a team headed by an FBI agent who is also a secret service agent and involved in the plot. It's very intense and complicated. Many subplots and twists.

Tonight we learned that the reason to harm POTUS is because he intends to cancel the Total Information program of the NSA, and the head of the Total Information program will become president.

The president's chief of staff is in on the plot. So is the first lady's sister.

Geez. It's a nice escape from the real news. Ha!

I'm hooked.

(Side bar: every time I think the word "Hostages" I chuckle to myself and pronounce it "Bastiges", and if you get that, you're as old as I am! LOL)

I did see the part where the Dr.'s husband injects a poison into the chief kidnapper.

BTW, is this a miniseries? I don't see them being to sustain the plot for a long time. Sooner or later it's going to come to a head.

Watching "Blacklist." That story is absolutely made for Spader, and is the script he has been waiting for all his life.

Doesn't make sense to create a show that should be killed when the president is killed.
