Related: About this forumHoward Dean slaps ‘corporate-backed’ Dem Khanna
http://blog.sfgate.com/nov05election/2013/12/03/howard-dean-slaps-corporate-backed-khanna/Big-name endorsement Tuesday for South Bay Rep. Mike Hondas re-election campaign former Vermont Guv/DNC chair Howard Dean and the organization inspired by his 2004 presidential campaign, Democracy for America. You could say that this crew, as Dean is fond of saying, represents the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party.
Whats notable, beneath the usual endorsement schmaltz, is how the Democracy for America crew is describing Hondas primary challenger, fellow Democrat Ro Khanna. The groups executive director, Charles Chamberlain, called Khanna a Silicon Valley groupie looking to buy support from wealthy CEOs by promising them their every wish in Washington.
And Dean himself says Honda is facing a corporate-backed challenger whose big- money donors are intent on buying Mikes congressional seat.
Ouch. Corporate-backed challenger is usually what Democrats call Republicans not someone like Khanna, who was an Obama administration trade rep. Welcome to the Jungle Primary.

Just because someone is or was in the Obama administration doesn't mean s/he isn't a DINO *cough*Arne Duncan*cough*Rahm Emanuel*cough*.
Great. So instead of spending money to take some of CA's newly drawn, competitive districts away from repukes, and maybe even take back the House, we have to defend what should have been a safe seat from a Third Way opportunist within the Dem party. (This guy district-shops; he was considering a run against another progressive, Fortney "Pete" Stark, from across the Bay.)
