Related: About this forumThere are 19 states that allow for recall of elected officials......
http://www.ncsl.org/research/elections-and-campaigns/recall-of-state-officials.aspxI can't think of a better reason to start a recall on Chris Christie. If he did know it was criminal and if he didn't know it means he has a staff that is allowed to run wild and do vindictive things without his knowledge. And even if he didn't know he didn't do anything for FOUR DAYS.
Recall time.
I'll gladly pay the $4 toll over the DMB again and again and again to help with a recall campaign!

(4,187 posts)1. Apparently, NJ Democrats considered it in August 2011
but decided against it because failure would strengthen Christie.

Perhaps they'll consider it again.

(95,337 posts)2. I think the problem with past recalls - there really needs to be a criminal involvement
I think that's why the Walker recall in Wisconsin failed (although we picked up some local seats). In the end Walker didn't do anything criminal, he was just a douchebag.
This time it is criminal - it might actually work!

(9,874 posts)3. A practical impossibility in NJ
A recall requires the signatures on a petition of 25% of the registered voters in the last general election. Since there about 5.2 million registered voters in NJ you'd need a petition with over 1.3 million signatures.
