Chri$tie office to pay $650 an hour for defense attorney in GWB lane-closure probes!

The biggest political crisis of Christie’s political career has also provided work for some of the biggest names in the region’s legal circles. Much of the cost is likely to be borne by taxpayers.

They would process some papers, and file some things, and look up some things, and send me bills.
They probably billed for the amount of time it took to prepare the bill, in fact. This went on until my savings were drained, and then I had to defend myself. The legal system is only for people who can afford lawyers. The rest of us are totally fucked.

It was a contract dispute-no wrongdoing by anyone, and a settlement was reached. Jeezus H.

When the taxpayers are footing the bill.

Our legal system does suck for people without money.

Hopefully there is some legislation on the books that limits what can be compensated in these Christie cases. Like Medicare, payment limits. Also, if he loses there should be a required repayment to the taxpayer. With financial responsibility may come accountability before the trial, like..'I did it', or at least,'I resign to spend more time with my family'.
