The me-ness of me

I wish to take umbrage at the continual disparagement of older white guys! I am retired and receiving my earned entitlement known as social security. I am Caucasian, ride a Harley and am married to a women who is way smarter than I am. I am intolerant of intolerance. I think the Republican Party and it's moronic step-child the tea party are an anathema to the democratic principles upon which this republic is grounded. I find that anyone who wakes up in the morning and decides that what they want to accomplish as a representative of this nation is the starvation of children, the crushing of families through denial of unemployment benefits, the implantation of theological precepts as governing policy, the agrandization of corporate oligarchy as some sort of human, is disgusting. This is in accompaniment to an across the board belief that denying health care to millions of Americans is good ideology and policy. If nothing else convinces you of sociopathic right wingnutness, with a depraved collective mind, this should do it. We need not less corporate regulation but much, much more. From Wall Street to the GM CEOs office we are being wrecked on the shoals of a cash reef. And amazingly enough it is all being aided and abetted by myopic and syncophant Supreme Court who may someday, through its convoluted machinations in illogic, declare that humans really aren't (human) and no longer have rights....to much of anything that the (real) human-corporates arbitrarily claim as theirs. I do not subscribe to, nor believe in this dumbass dynasty even if I am an older white guy. On a lighter note: how about them Milwaukee Brewers?

Unfortunately, it's not the nice ones who are running things. It's the greedy, selfish bastards who are.

What we need is more people (male and female) who share your values to run for office.

who are, in whole, still the remaining target audience for RW radio, the Tea Party, and the GOP. The same folks who can be convinced to vote against their own interests and those of their children and grandchildren, with lies and fear and anger.

You've just got to remember, when people are 'bashing' older white males, that in your case, the shoe doesn't actually fit.

sigh. It's not nice, but it's all legal, so no use thinking about it.

Trod on one of three or so sacred feet though and you are persona non grata. Dead to me.

Wonder why more people don't get involved and vote?

I concur with everything you said. I too am intolerant of intolerance, and there's so much of it nowadays.

As for the Harley...

Although I have to admit, Milwaukee has turned into quite a good team this year.
