Bloomberg Defends Hillary From Karl Rove’s Attacks

Former Mayor Bloomberg went to bat for Hillary Clinton on Sunday, ripping Republicans who say they’re worried about the one-time secretary of state’s age and health.

Bloomberg called Clinton a “spectacular candidate” and took GOP strategist Karl Rove to task for suggesting the former secretary of state might not be physically fit for office.

“I understand political argument,” Bloomberg told “Face the Nation” on CBS.

“You can disagree with somebody on their views. You can even criticize their performance. But there is a line beyond which you shouldn’t go. And I thought it was about as inappropriate a thing you could say.”

Bloomberg stopped short of endorsing Clinton.
