Those 5 SC justices didnt just happen to get there, all planned, took decades, but destroying the progress of the adults, i.e. liberals of America, had to be done...

Whether it is the family, workplace, or government - the crazy person is in control. It works.
Look at how the moderate Republicans stand up to the tea nuts - NOT!

I remember the 90s vividly, just being completely confused by the sheer hatred of Bill Clinton, and also bewildered by the bullshit AM radio was spouting. It was well refined, but to me, didn't pass the bullshit test, but SOMEHOW many I knew believed it 100 percent.

They are worse today in that they have totally given up any pretense of trying to have a set core of "principles" that it all comes from. 20 years ago, they tethered everything to state's rights, the constitution, ect. It had SOME intellectual foundation.

NOW, they just go from one hyperbolic screaming fit to another even where they are today totally contradicts where they were yesterday.

They have TOTALLY bought their bullshit - they are proud and great americans and there is some evil liberal boogyman out there that makes everything horrible.

That is it in a nutshell.

But, there is a digression.

20 years ago, most of the pols had SOME grounding in reality.

Today, every single one of these rat motherfuckers thinks they crap their party has spewed for decades now is actual reality.

And, they don't have the first fucking clue what they won, there is nothing they really are working toward. It is just unleashed fury, anger and hatred and they are going to get someone and prove a point, regardless of who they are getting and what the point its, and it is NEVER going to be enough.

The difference between now, and the Clinton years which was mentioned is back then republicans would work with Clinton and pass legislation. Now even when Obama offers some idea that has a foundation in conservative thinking they just up their demands rather than making a reasonable counter offer.

In Clinton years the GOP wanted the economy to do well because if it didn't then they were in trouble. Now, I believe a lot of the GOP base wants it to get worse because they have sort of this dystopian fantasy where there is only a loose society and it's a collection of individuals, each a law unto himself rather than society that has culture and tries to improve the health and wellbeing of it's society. They have this fantasy of a man holing up with his rifle.

Another difference I think is all those people who were started out on AM radio and now watch Fox or whatever- they are the GOP now. So where it was conservative or libertarian before, I think the current GOP really has a way more Confederate States of America bent than previously. I really do think that if it contines to go in the direction it is going there will be either a civil war or at least some serious bloodshed because that's what a LOT of these people want. I mean there's a lot of talk about patriotism and stuff and waving of the flag but when you get to talking to these guys they sound like the Confederates, I get the feeling any gov't would be hated by them.

What I wonder is it because of the Dixiecrats dying off? Is it because we have a black president? Or is it because the GOP has so pandered to those sentiments to get voters that they are being created anew with no link to the past.

I mean they hated Clinton but with Obama it's difft. A black guy who is in a position of authority gets no respect, and Holder a black guy chief law enforcement officer just makes them nuts.

I don't think the Leadership Republicans care at all what kaos and hurt their squidges cause.

Crazed/angry/ignorant squidges are a wonderful distraction.

And they trot it out as if it were some kind of fresh perspective.

Worse yet on CNBC this morning they're blabbing neo-economics, and even citing the Laffer Curve as if that garbage hasn't been debunked every which way to Sunday.

These people like Larry Kudlow have a lot of nerve.
