I really like it. The show is consistently broad based with a good international take and Fareed's editorial POV is made clear in his personal segment.
I just have to remember to wait until Ms. Crowley's (R) fest is over before I turn on the TV.
What's your take on GPS (Global Public Square)?

(22,000 posts)I don't watch it as often as I have in the past (I'm working on my dissertation) and I read one of his books a few years ago. He tends to be quite a bit more conservative then I am, so I don't always agree with him.
I think you'll find DU in general doesn't like him. I've seen pretty nasty things written about him here.

(54,369 posts)And I seldom watch it when I'm in the U.S. (which, as of last Friday, I am).
But I have seen a few segments with Zakaria, and I have read a few of his editorials. I don't find him to be very conservative, but I do find him to be rather right-wing, albeit with a bit more intelligence than most of them (not exactly a daunting task, to my way of thinking).

(106,886 posts)And doesn't echo the extremist, simplistic talking points that Republicans are currently propping up on political talk shows across the media spectrum.
So, I take that all into account. Just really like his focus on a big picture, some under-reported issues and such.
