I haven't always agreed with Emily's List's candidate selections in Hawaii. This time, in supporting Donna Kim, they've chosen an anti-choice candidate.
What the heck are the selection criteria?
I'd strongly encourage anyone who wants to support progressive women to do so directly, bypassing Emily's list.
Has anyone else experienced this in your community?
I see on their facebook page that they are supporting Wendy Davis, which is great. I blocked the post about abortion barbie that followed.
Looking forward to hearing DU'ers experiences in your communities with Emily's Lost.
Mahalo!
UPDATE: Well maybe she isn't anti-choice. I'm getting very mixed messages. She's definitely not for equal rights though, that's clear.

(17,108 posts)but I've also read some grumping and grousing about her. I've always had a good impression of her, but I don't live in Hawaii, unfortunately.
What's your take on Colleen Hanabusa?

When people get the word on her stance on choice, she's outta there for sure.
