Rula Jebreal challenged MSNBC and news media in general's coverage of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. In trying to disprove her contention they make it even more evident.
Chris Hayes articulated what everyone knows, "If there is violence we cover it, if there is no violence we do not cover it." Daily Beast Eli Lake said Americans have a cultural affinity with Israelis and see them as "less foreign" than Palestinians.

(710 posts)This just illustrates beautifully how corrupt the media is in America.
The reason a lot of Americans continue to support Israel is because the media keeps hidden from the American people all the disgusting things Israel does, things like blockading 1.8 million Palestinians in a tiny area, things like demolishing Palestinian homes and orchids and then later setting up settlements on the land they confiscated, things like mass arrests whenever Israel feels like it, etc, etc.
If most Americans saw the media present the true story of the I/P conflict, then most Americans would be disgusted at the way that Israel flouts international law and subjugates the Palestinians, thus AIPAC would lose its influence on the levers of power because Congress people would not be scared to criticize Israel.
