http://www.politicususa.com/2014/10/03/ooopsie-mitt-romney-committs-accidental-misdemeanor-voter-registration-fraud.htmlMitt Romney, who just days ago was near tears over his failure to get elected and thus save us all from the horrible fate of record stock market rallies and the addition of 10 million private sector jobs under President Obama, is in hot water for signing voter registration forms without reading them.
Mitt Romney, two-time loser, but third-time hopeful, signed voter registration forms with the wrong address and wrong party. Romney is no longer a Republican, apparently, according to his own careful perusal of the voter registration he signed. He also used an address he hasnt used since 2009. Oopsie!
Psst: Dont try this if youre a Democrat or a minority.
The Salt Lake Tribune found Romneys voter registration problem while digging through documents obtained in a records request. Thomas Burr reported:
It turns out Romney, who is moving to Utah as a full-time resident, strolled into a driver license office in late August to obtain his Utah license and filled out paperwork to register to vote at his under-construction home in Holladay, a suburb of Salt Lake City. But, apparently because of outdated information in the agencys database, the pre-printed form listed Romneys former Park City address on Rising Star Lane and with no party affiliation. Romney signed it.
The Romney folks explained it to the Trib, As they explained it, some star-struck clerks and Romneys inattentiveness may have combined to cause the problem.

(14,966 posts)I love that. But where do you punch the three holes to get the women into the binders in the first place?
How can a man be so rich and successful - and so stupid at the same time?

(80,522 posts)Just like dubya and donald trump and all the progeny of rupert murdoch, and others in the born-to-it 1% category, who've never had to get their hands dirty.
romney's nearly-obscene level of wealth means there's a lot he doesn't have to bother himself about anymore. When you have that kind of money, you can afford to be a little careless sometimes. Especially when it's always been that way. He's never known real want, much less being even remotely able to understand it or feel any sympathy or compassion for those who don't breathe his rarified air. When you've spent as many years on top of the ziggurat as he has, with all those fawning underlings surrounding you - who do your bidding and only say "yes, sir" and make sure they've done all the dirty work and the menial tasks so you don't have to, then what else would you expect?

(11,482 posts)Mundane tasks like remembering the address of every house you own is for little people, not the 'job creators' of the world. He was probably so tied up with creating more jobs (for Chines workers, but that's a tiny unimportant detail) that he didn't have time to worry about such things.

(3,544 posts)why this POS never was elected, twice now. I for one, am damn glad he's not in charge. Can you imagine where we'd be now? Those tax breaks for the millionaires would certainly be in place by now.
A war in Iran and Syria for sure. The economy would have been completely trashed by now. I feel so good he's not in there.

(6,831 posts)To blame the error on the hapless "star struck clerks" who were, apparently, dazed by being in the presence of Romney, shows the arrogance and cluelessness of the Romney tribe.

I mean, seriously!! If a Democratic political name had done this the R party would be on the attack, and God Forbid if our President ever did something like this - not that our President would ever be so foolish as to not check his address on his VOTER REGISTRATION!!!

I would LOVE to send him that GIF.
