uniformed medical responders who could rush in to help contain epidemics, the sequester ALONE cut $1.6 billion from the already-underfunded National Institutes of Sciences, the agency that enables research into ebola vaccines and treatments, and another giant chunk from the CDC, the front-line agency charged with protecting us from ebola outbreaks. Oh, and of course, the Surgeon General's budget was also hit hard.
SURE, we need an after-the-lion's-out-of-the-cage Republican czar to jump in and try to grab its tail...
