2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumA Democratic worker--from the neighborhood--knocked on our door today.
She wanted to confirm whether our son--a registered Dem who hadn't voted since 2012--still
lived here. I very happily told her he had already verified his registration and requested
an absentee ballot. He hasn't re-registered in Connecticut, where he moved in August
to go to grad school. Last year he was in Berlin and didn't attempt to deal with absentee
ballots.
I hope this is an indication of Democratic efforts to GOTV here in NC.
Anybody else in battleground states had any visits from the local Dems?

I'm glad you guys have a good ground game down there with the complete assault you've taken from the state government.

(3,003 posts)I remember I attended and out-of-state college but I made absolutely certain that I received my absentee ballot, filled it out correctly, and sent it in well ahead of the election day deadline. Please make sure that your son understands the importance of the Democrats keeping control of the Senate and the NC race could decide it all.

Best of luck! Would be great to see NC go further blue.
