rah Palins reluctance to put her money where her mouth is has left some 2014 candidates she endorsed floundering in the polls with many unable to make it past the primaries.
According to OpenSecrets.org, SarahPAC, the political action committee controlled by Sarah Palin, has dispensed only $45,000 to fellow Republicans running in the midterms, less than 3 percent of the $1.4 million available as of Sept. 30, the end of the reporting quarter.
With elections three weeks away, Palin seems inclined to hang onto her cash, possibly with an eye on 2016, where she may use the money to increase her profile going into a presidential election.
According to filings, SarahPAC had $978,000 on hand at the beginning of the July 1-Sept. 30 period, and raised an additional $433,000 during the period.
During the third quarter, SarahPAC made contributions of $5,000 to nine GOP candidates, including incumbent Sen. Pat Roberts of Kansas, who is currently trailing in the polls, Joe Carr, who lost to incumbent Sen. Lamar Alexander in Tennessees GOP primary, and former NFL player Clint Didier, who is in a tight race in Washington.
BTW - who Ms Palin isn't helping it seems is Governor Sean Parnell, her former Lt Governor from back when she was Governor. This is an interesting race. His only opponent is Independent Bill Walker, a former Republican whose ideologies run along the lines of old school Repblicans not Tea Party. And Walker's Lt Governor happens to be the former Democratic Candidate for the 2014 Governor's Race Bryon Mallot. I guess Mallot dropped out of the race to join Walker's ticket. Right now Real Clear Politics is actually showing Walker in the lead in this tight race. Too bad Caribou Barbie ain't showing the love for her former Lt. Governor.
Walker isn't too bad. He want's to expand ACA on day one; take the federal funding. I kinda like his philosphy on civil rights. He doesn't believe in abortion or gay marriage but feels government shouldn't be meddling in people's personal lives nor wasting tax dollars on creating more laws on these things. He even said it would be a waste of tax dollars to fight the recent changes in marriage equality in Alaska, he would support the law (Mallot is pro-choice/marriage equality). Honestly, not sure if Walker would have been my first choice for Governor but he is a way better choice than Parnell, that's for sure!

(22,651 posts)about a million a year. She made a lot of money from buying her own movie tickets and books with campaign 'donations'. Some people are just cheap , especially those who grew-up without much personal wealth & were never generous towards others.

(95,337 posts)I know the youngest has health issues so no knocking on that one. Of course I figured with Sarah and Bristol gallivanting all over the country and getting shit-faced at Alaska parties starting fist fights, I figured Sarah's kid along with Bristol's kid are being raised by a full-time nanny anyways.
Maybe the money is needed so the kids can just slack off and do nothing with their lives like she is.
