http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/news/58506274-78/wolper-bowen-lots-building.html.cspMia Love was on the Saratoga Springs (Utah) City Council, and later became Mayor while this criminal malfeasance was transpiring. Her ability to serve as a member of Congress is severely compromised by this revelation IMHO.
Why this is just now being reported two weeks before the election seems like more than a mere coincidence.

(13,190 posts)1. Where in the article does it say she's involved ?
Mia Love, who served six years on the council before becoming mayor in 2010, asked the citys attorney about the citys possible liability.
"Do we feel like we are not obligated or we are even entertaining this because we have some fault, some responsibility for what has happened to the people who have bought lots?" asked Love, today the Republican candidate for Congress in Utahs 4th District.
Attorney Todd Godfrey told Love he didnt believe there were legal liabilities, but added, "Property owners, I think, will sue you. I dont know if theres any way around that."

(718 posts)3. She was on the city council
She approved the building permits that were issued for lots that had no water. She later was Mayor when the issue came up again and again. The implication is that she either knew or should have known that what was occurring was illegal. It is there if you read it.
