2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumInteresting - just got my first 2016 polling call
First they asked if I were registered to vote, then party affiliation. Then wanted to know who I would vote in the primaries between Elizabeth Warren and Hillary Clinton - I picked Warren. Then they had a longer list of candidates, including Warren, Clinton, Biden, Cuomo, and some guy I've never heard of - O'Malley?
Then they asked who I would vote for Senator - Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Alan Grayson, and somebody else - I said Grayson.
What is interesting is that the survey from 407-205-0191 at the end mentioned Doug Kaplan. The first result in a search from him was from an old DU thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/10021579317
** A note on my choices during the survey - I have not decided who I will vote for in 2016. I picked the more liberal candidates rather than the standard ones to push the poll more to the left.

(34,139 posts)I figure at this point if I put in at least one point towards more liberal/progressive candidates, maybe someone will get the message.
I haven't even looked at who will be running for senator - I guess it's Rubio we'll be replacing? Up until the November election, I wasn't even worrying about 2016 and since I've been busy with sorting out what my husband and I have to do so he can retire from full time work at the end of the year. We set up our health insurance through HealthCare.gov and finalized it yesterday - the ACA is the reason he CAN retire before he's eligible for Medicare so I am happy for him. I'm looking forward to spending more time with him!

(20,277 posts)I worked hard for a candidate, and she got her ass kicked because people couldn't be bothered to vote.
I'm kind of enjoying the lack of phone calls, gloomy emails and no political commercials. I wish they would just let people enjoy the upcoming holidays in peace.
