Clinton bashes Walker; offers condolences for those who made it through the entire GOP debate
Hillary Rodham Clinton accused Republican opponent Gov. Scott Walker of gutting public education programs in Wisconsin and challenged Republicans on Tuesday to confront what she calls a crisis of rising college tuition and rising debt for students.
Speaking to supporters and undecided voters at a community college here, Clinton also mocked the Republican field and jokingly praised dutiful voters who made it through the entire Republican debate last week. The evening Thursday included a session with second-tier candidates, followed by the two-hour debate with the top 10 candidates.
"I bet some of you might have sat through four hours and 17 candidates of debates," Clinton said in a tone of mock condolence. "Really, I admire you," she said to laughter. "It's part of being in New Hampshire," with its first-in-the-nation primary next February, Clinton added. "I know you've got an obligation."

Clinton is spending much of this week rolling out a new $350 million proposal to alleviate college debt. Republicans have called the plan, released Monday, expensive and unworkable.
"Then you take somebody like Governor Walker of Wisconsin, who seems to be delighting in slashing the investment in higher education in his state and making it more difficult for students to get scholarships or to pay off their debt," Clinton continued.
