Bernie endorsed Jackson's 1984 presidential run. And he was one of two only white politicians to do that - the other being Jim Hightower.

Granted, they just did a show together, but he also mentioned that he met with him and his wife personally during the trip.

...and it means little now IMO. Also, black South Carolinian voters aren't a hive mind, one endorsement does not a paradigm shift make.

And its not about any kind of hive mind, its about Bernie bringing his message to a state with a large African American population. I believe once they hear him speak, the poll numbers are going to snowball in his favor. His message resonates.

You might recall when he endorsed Obama it was a HUGE deal and signaled that the election was turning.
