Anyone else watch the BLM/Hillary video and think

what the hell was that? Everything from BLM's gushing reverence, hyper-politeness, unfocused statements and softball pseudo-questions, to Clinton's annoyed, finger jabbing, content free, allowed-to-drone-on posturing = one big

I can not imagine her reaction if she got it like Sanders and O'Malley. I recommend people WATCH the video, the transcripts don't convey the pointing and agitation she exuded.

Plus, the staffer jumping in to give her time to think of an answer was pretty obvious.

Maybe that's the difference in Hillary and Bernie. Hillary and her supporters give BLM the respect they deserve for a legitimate movement....from Bernie I see very little respect. He talks 'at' you, not to you......and apparently he doesn't listen either.

You are concerned about some perceived disrespect, and completely ignoring the message of Black Lives Matter.

Black Lives Matter. They matter more than an interrupted speech, and they matter more than your anger over what you saw as disrespect towards Bernie Sanders.

I highly doubt that Sanders is upset over this. Thankfully he has agreed to talk with the movement. I'm glad. This is a conversation way past due and I'm thrilled it's become part of the national dialogue.

How Hillary Let Down #BlackLivesMatter

In the first video, Julius Jones of BLM implores Clinton to explain how she has evolved on issues of race since the 1990s when she supported policies that have led to the mass incarceration of African Americans. “How do you actually feel that is different than before?” he asked. “And what were those mistakes, and how can those mistakes that you’ve made be lessons for all Americans for a moment of reflection on how we treat black people in this country?”

A Clinton staffer then politely interjected that they were already running short on time, and that throngs of other groups were also waiting to speak with the candidate. This did not go over well, and projected a dismissive perspective of the BLM movement before Clinton had a chance to respond. Regardless of whether this was the intent, it’s indicative of a larger problem, which Clinton’s response further highlighted.

Clinton’s stuck to the standard political, unemotional answers that referenced her commitment to civil rights issues and to the concerns of the needy and children. Next she briefly, and uncomfortably, touched upon America’s “original sin” without ever saying slavery, racial oppression, or the near destruction of Native American civilization. Then she transitioned straight into the realities of electoral politics: “I’m trying to put together in a way that I can explain it and I can sell it, because in politics if you can’t explain it and you can’t sell it, it stays on the shelf.”

I am sticking to the 4 paragraph rule here, there is much much more at the link.

That is my take as well. I think he showed annoyance and dismissiveness, and she was honest, but respectful, as were BLM. And let's face it, there really is more for them to bitch about with Bernie. HRC has not essentially said that solving the problem of economic equality will solve racism. It's an absurd concept to me, but Bernie seems to really believe that.

I don't care for it... well... unless Webb or Chaffee become candidates to worry about, but thats not gonna happen.

First, it is so condescending to defend yourself on racial justice by citing your charitable work. On the issue of race she understands her privelege is a stigma, so she uses the children helped through her philanthropy to dissaccosiate herself from that stigma, while deflecting and not actually answering his question.

Then she essentially says that if she looks like she's one of the bad guys, it's just because BLM doesn't understand how politics works and they should just be patient while she, the professional, makes black lives marketable to low information white voters.

Disgusting.
