2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI really need to know what Hillary Clinton is going to do concerning
Social Security and in particular, SSDI (either insurance or supplemental income). I need to know before next November, no weasel words in case Sanders does not get the nomination. I refuse to look at my sons and say should I hurt you a little or should I hurt you a lot? I cannot contribute to harm in their future, not a little nor a lot. And that is a dilemma many cannot "get". No Peter Peterson or Goldman Sachs in that decision. Have a nice evening DU.

(37,449 posts)Hillary Clinton has told the AFL-CIO she wants to improve Social Security benefits for women and lower-income seniors, offering a glimpse of the Democratic presidential front-runner's thinking on a topic she has rarely addressed on the campaign trail.
"I'm especially focused on the fact that we need to improve how Social Security works for women," she wrote in the questionnaire, which was seen by Reuters and confirmed by three union sources.
"I also want to enhance benefits for our most vulnerable seniors," she wrote, adding that she will have proposals on retirement security for Americans "in the weeks and months ahead."
