Not again! Clinton pulls plug on testy presser over server questions

The drip drop just won't stop. Hillary appeared flustered and put an end to her press conference as she was continually asked questions about her private e-mail server and whether or not it had been wiped. Hillary of course claimed no knowledge and wondered if it had been "wiped with a cloth or something?".

...A visibly aggravated Clinton repeatedly insisted that she had done nothing wrong, and seemed frustrated at questions about the issue.

"What I did was legally permitted, number one, first and foremost," she said Tuesday.

"We turned everything that was work related, every single thing. “

Asked if the server, which has been turned over to the Department of Justice, had been wiped clean, Clinton initially shurgged and later joked: "Like with a cloth or something?

"I don't know how it works digitally at all," she added.

...Aides could be heard in the background telling reporters that Clinton had to go, but she remained to answer questions for a few more minutes before leaving. As she walked away, she turned back to reporters who continued to ask questions with a shrug.

The same reporter kept asking the same question. When she tried to explain that if she had ONLY used the Gov't email system the State Dept. & the Justice Dept. would STILL go over each email and argue if they should have been classified or not and which ones to release to the public. Those arguments go on all the time. There would be no difference in how they respond to the FOI requests. (That's correct BYW) That reporter wouldn't accept her answer. I don't blame her for wrapping up the presser. Some "journalists" ask questions and if they don't hear what they want to hear, they won't let it go. I know Hill has been evasive in the past and that's not good, but she wasn't wrong this time.

Mainly her Judgement and her affinity for fudging the truth.

I'm also starting to get concerned about her ability to win an election... everytime she does an interview she comes across as phony, aggressive and obfuscates the issues at hand. I have no doubt in her ability to govern, but I'm starting to think she's just an awful politician and has a lot of difficulty connecting with people on a personal level.

People like to compare this campaign to 08, but I think she's doing far, far worse this time around. I'm not sure if its because she's been out of the game for so long or if the e-mail stuff has started to take a toll.

32. Sanders: Some criticism of Hillary Clinton is motivated by sexism
Tue Aug 18, 2015, 08:23 PM
Aug 2015
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said on Sunday that some of the criticism directed at his Democratic primary rival Hillary Clinton is motivated by sexism.

“I can’t think of many personalities who have been attacked for more reasons than Hillary Clinton,” Sanders told John Dickerson on “Face the Nation.”

“And by the way, let me be frank – and I’m running against her – some of it is sexist. I don’t know that a man would be treated the same way that Hillary is,” Sanders added.

Sanders remarks came in response to a question about whether Clinton’s use of a private server while secretary of state has hurt her trustworthiness in the eyes of some Americans. Sanders refused to comment on the scandal or Clinton’s honesty, and went on to emphasize that his concerns with her as the Democratic nominee are about her policies, not personality.

so women deal. sure as hell not gonna be a level playing field. so suck it up and deal. the only other option? not run. get penalized by the sexist crap, causing the run to not only be tougher, but get the blame for being troublesome that sexism is thrown your way.

i see no reason at all, we should penalize clinton for our societal sexism.

If she had one personal server for personal email and then a government server for work email, how could we still be going through the same thing?

She would not have deleted half the emails from the government server because they were personal.

That really is the problem. People don't believe that everything she deleted was personal and we have no way to verify that it was.

I honestly don't understand her argument.

and they are already upside down.

The more people don't trust her the harder it is for her to defend herself from the endless RW attacks.

It matters.

Even if it is proven that she did nothing wrong (which may be impossible given that the server was wiped) her credibility will suffer because of it.

She is not IT literate, as with most people in their 60's--unless they work with IT frequently.

I've seen guys at IBM's Pougkeepsee Labs who are so out there, they have multiple sets of the same clothes, because they don't want to think about dressing. They specialize in their field and rely on others for daily support. Now, these guys are an extreme example, but no one is a SoS and personally runs their own servers.

This service was farmed out to a service provider. Using terms such as 'wipe' and 'sanitize' have little meaning to most people who were born before the 1960's.

===

Anyone who thinks she requires IT skills, or thinks she is actually handling the server, is either dense or just looking for an excuse to complain about her. Even the best IT people need help with SSL, firewalls, DR, UPS, etc.. Hence, she does what she does and contracts the IT demands to specialized service providers. No matter what a person knows about IT, it is not enough.
