Polls: Romney Regains Lead in Florida.

from WSJ..

On Monday, two polls showed Newt Gingrich leading in the Florida presidential primary by eight or nine percentage points. Today, new surveys of likely GOP primary voters from the same pollsters showed Mitt Romney up by eight percentage points.

A poll by InsiderAdvantage/Majority Opinion Research for Newsmax put Mr. Romney ahead with 40% compared with Mr. Gingrich’s 32%. Rep. Ron Paul and Rick Santorum picked up 9% and 8% respectively. The earlier survey, taken after Mr. Gingrich’s surprise win in South Carolina, showed Mr. Gingrich ahead by eight points. Until Mr. Gingrich’s strong showing in South Carolina, Mr. Romney had been ahead in the Florida polls.

The latest Rasmussen Reports survey found Mr. Romney in the lead, 39%-31%, with Mr. Santorum at 12% and Mr. Paul at 9%. Electability was a factor, the pollsters found. At the start of the week, 42% of those surveyed said Mr. Gingrich would be the stronger candidate against President Barack Obama. But after a nationally televised debate and intense campaigning, 49% now think Mr. Romney would more likely to unseat the president while 34% pick Mr. Gingrich. The poll’s margin of error is four percentage points.

This means the Gringrich verbal flame thrower will be on max output tonight. Should be entertaining.

Romney is Mr Default. He was just waiting for everyone else to belm themselves a hernia and then be the only one left standing. It will probably still work.

If Romney starts "winning" again I wonder what the conservatives and Grinch will do. Will they get desperate? Go for their guns? I wonder..

Like the left has had to, at least in the UK and US, for the last 40 years.

The Republican party has been a coalition of the Greedy and the Stupid - now the Greedy have come to regard the Stupid as a liability. What will they do? Well, if I had to put in a request, it would be for a third party to go off and die in the wilderness, while the remaining Republicans (basically Jon Hunstman at this point) can compete with the Democrats to manage affairs sensibly in this reality.

They are angry and full of hate. They hate liberals, hate having a black family in the WH, and hate not being in power. I dont think they will just shut up and accept a nominee they think is just as bad as a Democrat and in some ways worse.

They will be voting against Obama, that's how much they hate him. It really doesn't matter, who their nominee is.

how you came to that conclusion from my post, but I am in no way excited about it. I'm just not naive enough to believe these folks will be voting for Obama.

You seem to be angry or pressed about something. I hope you seek help instead of bashing and assuming you know the emotions of fellow Obama supporters. Good day sir!

I agree Gingrich being the nominee will probably be best for us but I dont relish havng to listen to his fowl mouth for months and months running up to the election. Not sure its healthy for this country to give someone like that a national platform to spew his vile words. You never know what could happen.
