Our Democratic Presidential candidates are being very civil

to each other. That's only natural, since their differences are far less major than the areas in which they agree. Civility is a good thing. Without it, campaigns would be very ugly things.

I think we should all follow their lead on this.

that he would not attack Hillary Clinton during the campaign. And he has not. By the same token, Clinton has not attacked Sanders. The fact is that they agree with each other on most issues, and are focusing on areas where they disagree. They are, however, disagreeing in a civil manner.

That's a good thing. Each candidate is focusing on their ideas, rather than on the primary opponents. Eventually, a nominee will be selected through our primary and caucus process. Once that happens, you can expect the candidates who did not become the nominee to endorse and support the nominee.

Why? Because defeating the Republicans is far more important than duking it out in the primaries. Serious candidates and their supporters know that, so they conduct themselves in a civil way during the primaries. That's how Democrats operate, frankly. It's a good thing.

I know that I find myself reading and posting less in this forum lately. Many threads are disagreeable to read, due to the harsh statements and hyperbole. Too bad.

The first primaries, in fact, pretty much coincide with the Super Bowl. Coincidence? I don't think so. Let's all have a tailgate party!
