Millennials Feel the Bern: Manassas, Virginia

Millennials Feel the Bern

Bernie Sanders made a campaign stop in Manassas, Virginia just hours after speaking at a convocation at Liberty University in Lynchburg. Liberty University was founded by the late-pastor, Jerry Falwell, and is considered to be one of the most conservative academic institutions in the country.

Sanders, a United States Senator from Vermont and Democratic presidential candidate for 2016, spoke to a crowd of supporters in Manassas that drew hundreds of millennials. He's been surging the polls in the last week where he overtook former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in a Quinnipiac University poll by 1 point (41 to 40 percent).

What's the cause for Bernie's surge? And why are millennials "feeling the Bern?"

We spoke to several millennials to see why they were out to support Sanders and what issues that he touches on that really resonate with them.
