The Telegraph: Clinton's attack on Sanders has "backfired"

Hillary Clinton's allies use Jeremy Corbyn to attack their own socialist opponent

Hillary Clinton's allies are using Jeremy Corbyn's most controversial statements in an effort to attack their own socialist opponent in the US presidential election.

But their efforts appear to have backfired.

Dan Pfeiffer, a former senior aide to Barack Obama, said the attack was "clumsy" while Hilary Rosen, a Democrat strategist, called it an "odd move".

I am one who thinks Clinton should engage Sanders, but this is clumsy from her allies http://t.co/kTvbRnSRY6 via @HuffPostPol

in politics and how it is used to keep the focus OFF the issues that concern the American people. It can be USED over and over again, especially considering WHO was behind it and how he TRIED to hide his ID and keep the whole thing secret, which is what this money PERMITS.

This is destroying our electoral system. THAT is Bernie's message and THAT is how WE can use this as an example of how they are spending MILLIONS on these negative and deceptive, because it was, personal attacks and WHY we never have any substantive discussions about ISSUES.

I am so glad Brock was stupid enough to do this. Because he has provided a perfect example of the corrosive, destructive effects of money on our elections.

Those of us who've been Progressive out here for Decades who know what Brock and the others she's hired for Millions to "glide path" Hillary" to the Presidency.

We are Skilled, we know how to Find Info to Counter Hillary from her past record and we are Dedicated to Bernie...and he doesn't have to PAY US! We are Dedicated, we are Smart and we Know Where to Look to find Real Information .....unlike Brock who is paid to do Disinformation! What a "FAIL" for Hillary to rely so heavily on the Corporations, Wall Street, Silicon Valley and Moles from the RW to Handle her Campaign.

She had a chance to do better and she Blew It. And, I say this as a huge Bill Clinton Supporter when he ran who thinks that both deserve a nice retirement babysitting for Charlotte and moving on with their lives. It's the Progressive Left of the Dem Party's Turn. We've worked for years supporting Candidates who Do Not support US and Instead Trash and Marginalize us in the Dem Party.

Hillary is Divisive and Bernie is Fresh and we know where he comes from and he will be the BEST against Donald Trump...because as a Fellow New Yorker Bernie knows how to FIGHT TOUGH down to the Wire! Bernie isn't going to be Marginalized ...because he is fighting for the Soul of the Democratic Party!

Feel the "Bern!"

Specifically the Blairite wing of Labour, which has crashed spectacularly of late. That's why Jeremy Corbyn has got in as Labour leader.

My suggestion for US Democrats is to leave the "new" Labour sect behind until that wing of the UK Labour party gets it's own act together.

We're not on the same bus. If Sanders is the solution to a problem in the direction and formulation of the current Democratic party qua progressivism, then Hillary is that problem personified...it's nigh impossible to get along with supporters of the standard-bearer of that status-quo. Hillary is the enemy of progressive values in Democratic politics...we shouldn't get along, this a war for the direction of the future of this party and progressive values.

This is the face of my true enemy.

She is my enemy before all others. After she is vanquished, we will take on all lesser comers in our path.

a thousand times "yes"!

Brock totally fumbled his widespread (re)introduction to the American public. His first impression oozes tawdry. He won't shake that impression, for background there's his career that he documented in his fascinating book, Blinded by the Right.

He's Mudslinger 2.0, now allied with the Clinton campaign, and oh my what an unfortunate association that is to have. Using him, and tactics like this, provides a level of immunity for the PACs that will be going after Secretary Clinton. They'll be shamelessly despicable, but when a Clinton spokesperson goes to push back against them it will always be in a larger context that includes Brock's PAC, and that they drew first blood by going negative against Senator Sanders.

P.S. Nice assemblage of links, thanks.
