Pelosi Agrees Democratic Primary Needs More Debates: LATimes

“Hillary does well -- I think they all do well on them -- and we should have more debates,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi tells LA Times, referring to Democratic presidential contenders, including Hillary Clinton *NOTE: Other Democratic contenders, including former Md. Gov. Martin O’Malley, have called for more than the 6 currently scheduled debates.

Pelosi can be counted on to say the right thing most of the time.

for more debates right after DWS announce the sparse, and late, debate schedule. Both her and Hillary sure as hell waiting awhile, mid September, before saying something. This is Kabuki Theater.

and I'll be wondering henceforth about whatever any 'official' dems say about debate plans, since reading this yesterday:

Daily Beast: Is the Democratic National Committee in the Tank for Hillary?

Is the Democratic National Committee in the Tank for Hillary?

Earlier Wednesday it was reported by Politico that the DNC had “carefully negotiated” the number of debates with the Democratic campaigns, but Lis Smith, O’Malley’s spokeswoman, said that’s just not true.

The DNC approached the O’Malley campaign in February, March, and April with its six-debate proposal, according to Smith, and she said the campaign shot the DNC down each time. And not only was there no negotiation, Smith said, but the DNC also lied about the exclusivity clause, which stipulates that candidates can’t participate in events not sanctioned by the DNC. The party assured the O’Malley campaign there wouldn’t be one, Smith said, but then, an hour before announcing its debate schedule, it changed course.
