A Palestinian Muslim for Bernie

I was talking with a man at the pharmacy this morning.
He is a Muslim from Palestine and he’s lived in the U.S. for 20 years.
He just recently registered to vote because he wants to vote for Bernie.

He said the country is headed in the wrong direction and he feels no other candidate will alter course.

I asked him about Hillary and he said to just look at the people running her campaign,
like John Podesta, who worked in the Clinton White House 25 years ago.
They're the same folks who have been running the country for decades.

Bernie will be his first vote in a U.S. election.

That is fantastic. And if Bernie wins, great. And if Bernie loses, based on what you have randys1 Sep 2015 #2

If he hasn't voted in 20 years, and sees Hillary's handlers as part of the problem, I doubt if he would vote for her.

He seems to want to vote FOR someone, not against someone.

people are also turning away from political parties, especially the young and non-political. People are tired of politics as usual. Bernie is not politics as usual, Hillary is. The DNC and Hillary supporters just don't get the concept that the majority of Bernie's supporters are not Democrats. Sure, if you they have to register as a dem to vote in the primary, they'll do it, but they won't vote for Hillary.

You say there are mountains of differences between Hillary and the Republicans? Both will cut Social Security or Privatize it, Hillary will just call it bipartisanship. Going to war, no difference. Minimum wage, GOP will want to roll it back, Hillary will raise it a buck or two, and call it a win. Drug prices, nope, no hope there. Help for veterans, nope, but they will both wave the flag. I don't see her advocating for the people at all, and neither does any non dems. People are struggling for their very lives, and see a Bernie loss, as new boss, same as the last boss, same as the one before. The only changes that will happen is to the middle class and above, for the rest of us peons, nothing will change no matter if the GOP or Dems are in charge. Bernie gives us hope, Hillary doesn't.
